If you suffer from fatigue, read on
Fatigue is one of the most common challenges we encounter in the clinic today. Many people describe running on half battery, having difficulty concentrating and feeling mentally and physically exhausted, even if the doctor finds nothing wrong. In biophysical energy therapy, we see fatigue as a signal that the body's energy system is under pressure, often due to stress, lack of sleep, overload, negative thought patterns or breathing that no longer supports the body optimally. When the nervous system is on constant alert, mental clarity, oxygen uptake and electrical voltage in the cells decrease. As a result, the body slowly falls into deficit and we begin to feel both physical and mental fatigue.
An important part of re-energising is working with affirmations and breathing. Affirmations are not just positive phrases, but a way of influencing the nervous system and creating new mental pathways. When we work with energy affirmations in the clinic, we help the client's system to find calm, stability and an inner sense of strength.
Here we use phrases such as:
- “I'm fresh and full of energy.”
- “I'm healthy, strong and balanced.”
- “My body recharges and I feel more alive with every breath.”
- “I let go of tiredness and invite clarity and calmness in.”
- “I have enough energy - both now and for the rest of the day.”
These little phrases create a boost in both body and mind. When we think in a way that empowers us, the body reduces stress hormones and energy can start to build up again.
At the same time, we work with breathing exercises because breathing is a direct access to both the nervous system and the body's ability to recharge. When people are tired, they often breathe quickly and loudly in the chest, creating even more inner turmoil and exhaustion. Through calm, deep and rhythmic breathing, the heart rate drops, the body releases tension and a sense of calm is created, which in itself releases energy.
The combination of affirmation training and breathing has a special effect. The thoughts create direction and the breath creates physical calm. When the two work together, we often see the body begin to regenerate faster and the client experiences greater mental clarity, better sleep and a more stable energy level in everyday life.
Fatigue is not a sign of weakness, but of the body calling for balance. Small exercises, repeated over time, can change both the nervous system and the perceived energy. In the clinic, we work with these techniques in a structured way to help people rebuild their power, calmness and life energy, and many people are surprised at how much of a difference it makes to get their thoughts and breathing under control. Energy isn't just something you have - it's something you can train and strengthen, and many people find that they get a whole new sense of vigour when they start working with it.
