Nerve pain - when the body feels distant (and what clients say about grounding and body contact)
Many people experience sensory disturbances in their feet, such as tingling, tingling or a sensation of walking on cotton wool. This can be caused by many different things, and it's always important to get a medical assessment if you experience a change in sensation or uncertainty in balance.
In the clinic, we occasionally meet people who are looking for support to create more calm, grounding and better body awareness in everyday life. Our work is not about diagnosing or treating diseases, but about supporting the body's own energy system, relaxation and well-being.
A client tells us
“For a long time I had the feeling that I was walking on cotton wool. After a session, I experienced a clearer contact with the ground and a lighter sensation in my feet. It felt like my body woke up a bit more. I felt calmer and more grounded afterwards.”
Clients' experiences are individual and reactions vary from person to person. For some, it's about increased wellbeing and better body contact, for others it's about relaxation or relieving tension.
What we do in the clinic
In our approach, we work with biophysical energy therapy, which focuses on the body's tension level, flow and energy balance. This can be experienced as deep calm, relaxation or a feeling of “coming back into the body”.
We do not diagnose or offer treatment for diseases. Everyone should always consult a doctor for persistent sensory disturbances, pain or other health symptoms. Listen to Edel's experience of the effect.
